Anthony Chen is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Head of the Transportation Systems Engineering Program. The major portion of his research focuses on modeling and analysis of transportation systems, network equilibrium models and solution algorithm development, meta-heuristics for discrete network location and network design problems, and transportation network reliability analysis. He received a Faculty Early Career Development Program grant from the National Science Foundation in 2002 and was named the Researcher of the Year for 2002-2003 by the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.
