Award-Winning Water Design Team heading to Orlando

Utah State University’s new Water Design Team in the College of Engineering is heading for an all-expenses paid trip to Orlando, Fla., after it took top honors at an engineering competition recently. Not bad for a team not yet one year old.

USU Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Fellows Honored

The winner from the college of Engineering is Scott Murphy, who is graduating this weekend from the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Noah Schmadel, a graduate student in Environmental Engineering, won the award for best presentation at the 2009 Spring Runoff Conference and Intermountain Meteorology Workshop.  Noah is working with Dr. Bethany Neilson of the CEE department.
Jon Bingham and Lindsey DeBoer, also graduate students in Environmental Engineering, won second place awards for their posters.

The CEE department swept the awards from the College of Engineering for undergrad research this week:

Ashleigh Restad (junior in environmental eng) was chosen as the outstanding undergraduate researcher for the College of Engineering for 2009:
